THE ROBINSON FAMILY'S STORY

"When I bought my first Mastercraft, a 2003 Prostar, it marked the beginning of a new chapter in my life with my girlfriend. I was fortunate enough to introduce my best friend to something that had brought me so much joy growing up. It didn’t take long for her to fall in love with it too, and naturally, I adored her for it.

Our summer on the lakes were filled with great music, friends, family, and laughter. The boat wasn’t just our favorite way to spend the weekend; it was a space where we connected, where we built memories, and where our bond deepened.

When the time came to propose, I knew it had to be on the water. I spent weeks planning the surprise, fabricating a “party at a lake house” we would attend by boat—like one we had attended in the past—and asking her to dress nicely so we wouldn’t show up in bathing suits again.

As we dropped the boat in the water, she casually mentioned that sunset would be in thirty minutes. I acted surprised—the same way I did when I saw twenty balloons floating in the water just ahead—and suggested we check it out. She was oblivious, snapping photos of the balloons and commenting on how nice they looked on the water with the sunset. All the while, she kept warning me to stop driving through them because “they might be marking a fishing net that could get tangled in the prop!”

It wasn’t until I cut the engine, stood up, and took the clip out of her hair that the unforgettable look of realization set in. As the sun dipped below the horizon over Melton Hill Lake, I dropped to one knee, creating a memory we would cherish forever.

Our boat has since become a symbol of our journey together, with Mastercraft representing not just a brand, but a lifestyle full of adventure, love, and unforgettable moments."

“We took our new NXT24 out for a spin with my two sons, wife, and our three dogs: a black lab, a pit/lab mix, and a massive 220-pound Spanish mastiff. My sons and two dogs, wearing life jackets that looked like a pink fish and a shark, were joyfully leaping off the boat. Meanwhile, the mastiff was contentedly lounging in the shade.

Suddenly, the lab, without a life jacket, jumped out and started swimming frantically toward the shore, which was about 200 yards away. Everyone panicked, and one by one, we jumped in and started swimming after her. In the meantime, my wife, who had never driven the boat before, sprang into action. She quickly figured out how to start and maneuver the boat and managed to rescue all of us.

This adventure proved that we all had a blast and showed how easy it is for a non-boater to learn to handle this massive 24-footer!”

THE SCHWYN FAMILY'S STORY

“My dad bought our 1992 ProStar 205 brand new when I was a little boy. At 4 years old, he taught me how to drive it, and we spent as much time as we could boating and water skiing all summer long with family who vacationed from Switzerland. Sadly, the boat was put into storage in 2005. During COVID, I decided to rebuild the boat from the bottom up, inside and out, with a new engine. I finished it in time for my dad’s 75th birthday. That same year, months after the ProStar 205 was resurrected, my dad gifted me the title to the boat for my 35th birthday. So this MasterCraft is more than a boat—it's a family member and my most sentimental piece in my life."
