Yep, if I can get all the mainenance done today, I will be out tomorrow afternoon for a test run to see if she still purrrrrrrrrs.
My boys have martial arts testing in the am. After that I'm hoping to hit the lake. What is the current lake level and is 830 ramp should be ok, right.

http://www.sjra.net/ I know the 830 ramp was open last year all the way down to 197, so it should be good. I haven't been there this year. We are launching @ our storage, Lakeside Landing. It has a private ramp that is good down to 197 also. We used Inland marine's ramp before the water rose. It is a nice ramp, but steep. Last edited by gts-20; 04-06-2012 at 10:22 AM. |

gts-20 I'll be sure to stop and introduce myself if your out all day.
thanks for the link. I use to work in Conroe for a few years. We like Lake Conroe, but I really like skiing in the colorado river down by Bay City normally. No boat traffic and smooth water can be found all the time. I have several of my high school classmates that use the river too, and it makes it feel like the good ole days when we see each other on the river. Plus thats my home town and my dad still lives there. So we have a place to clean up after boating in the muddy river. ![]()

We will be out till at least 5-6 in the evening. I'll pm you my number. Let me know when you launch and we'll try to meet up. You'll have to show me your spot on the CO river someday. Conroe is gret to socialize, but not so great for skiing unless you hit it at dawn, or on a weekday. When we want to ski for more than an hour or so, we usually plan a trip to Lake Austin. It would be nice the have a closer alternative.

You would absolutely love the river!
Very secluded and has sandy beaches so you can park and drink, eat, and relax. I use the heck out of some fuel down there. Cause you can ski all day. When I use to go to conroe all the time, a tank would last me 3 or 4 trips, cause we would just float/dock around skiers cove and chill. It would take you 2 to 2.5 hours to get there from Conroe, I live in Cypress and it takes me 1.5 hrs to hit the water. Well worth the drive.
