That boat looks pretty clean. Again, I am not big on purple either, but it looks nice on that boat. Price is not too out of line, although I think I would be comfortable at 11k.

Aluminum cylinder heads, fuel rails, multi port injection, and intake I would think are the biggest differences I can think of, it is a gen 2 block which is similar but still different then the gen 1 tbi block. They used a northstar ignition system which ditches the problematic optispark used in cars. they run more compression due to the reverse flow cooling design. These engines can really wake up with a cam and pushrod/spring upgrade. I'm sure someone has a stroked one out there with a supercharger

There has been one listed on BoatTrader.com for a while now that appears to be the same color scheme, but it's a '94. Pretty sure you're not driving to Florida for that one though. Might make for a nice comparison. Not sure why it has been listed for so long, seems like it would be very desireable year with the EFI (but not LT-1). Maybe it's the purple (Barney, anyone). I like the multi-colored bimini.

I spoke with the owner, and he is not even sure he wants to sell. Only needs the money for a down payment on a home, but will not find out if he is approved till Tuesday. He does not seem to be real negotiable on price. Even if its immaculate I cannot justify paying more than $9000 for it. There is one just like it about 9 hours away, only it has the standard EFI engine, but has PP SG going for $6500 . If it wasnt so far away I would have probably bought it. I just don't have the time for a road trip right now as I am working 6 days a week . I'm hoping to find a local one just like it at a reasonable price.

9 hours is nothing. Make the drive.

Owner with the purple 94' won't budge on price. Did not accept $9000 offer which is fair. Not gonna pay above value for it. Keep the search on.
