going from old style tower to new?
i have a 2006 mastercraft x80 and i was wondering if its possible to go from the current stock tower to the new power tower? ive looked at the base or the rear tower mount to the boat. they both look really close to the same, as fare as width and length.
just wondering if anyone has seen a new power tower upgrade from the old tower, and yes i know this will be a high conversion. any imput would be great thanks robby |

You should contact your local dealer, or reach out to Jim@BAWS on here.
He should know.

When this question has been asked in the past about putting a power tower on an older boat the main concern was always the reinforcement that is done to the hull. You'll be going from a 4 point tower to a 2 point tower and I've read there are some construction differences in the newer boats that take this into account.

reinforceing the hull would be a problem, i think i could build some runners in the hull to fix that problem. has anyone ever priced just the power tower and acc. for it?

If that is a $9000 option when the boat is built, I can only imagine what it would cost to buy separately.
Whew!!!

AFAIK the X80's been axed so you aren't buying a new one. Seems like an expensive proposition to replace the tower, but anything can be done.
