I had the factory XM in my '12 X25 and the sound quality was excellent. I would say that there was no difference between Ipod/Satelite and even 'some' CDs.

No... to date we only had satellite installed in the boat. I would like to have it in the truck, but wasnt interested in paying for additional connections since I can only be in one vehicle at a time.

Bjames, if you want it in the truck I'd just get a portable receiver with an aux cable and get 2 mounts for it.. One for the truck and one for the boat.. They sound great through an aux cable and if your anything like me you won't ever have anything without satellite radio.. I can't stand to listen to local stations anymore because of commercials and etc.. My truck rarely ever gets turned off of satellite radio, and if it does its just to listen to someone's iPod for a song or 2
