Pass on that! Even 65 degree water is cold. We are lucky when the temp reaches 70 in late summer.

9/16 wrench/socket and out in a jiffy. I destroyed old corroded (probably original) petcock removing it, then tossed in trash.

Brass plugs are cheap, easy and readily available.
