    Hey FSKOF,

I absolutely love my bimini from towerbiminis.com. It is easy to install, no holes to drill, and even with my tower speakers I can walk under it without hitting my head (6' tall).
    1) I highly recommend upgrading the fittings. It is well worth the money. I have purchased two tops from them and both times they gave me free shipping, which pays for the fittings. Just ask.

    2. It shades about half the boat.

    3. I leave mine up all summer rather than going through the hassle of wrapping it up and putting it in the boot. It is not the most convenient process, but hey, the trade-off is mounting one to the windshield and not being able to walk around under it. When it is folded into the tower it will cover part of your cans. If you don't want to use the bimini for the day, I just pull the 4 pins and 2 thumb screws and throw it in the garage. Very easy...

    4) The bimini doesn't rattle a bit. It is extremely stable. No flapping when driving, but I don't drive with it up over 45-50 mph.

    5) Very easy and simple to set up. 6 clamps.

Mine is also solid black and looks great. I tried the cargo rack from monstertower.com, but it covered only half the surface area.

    Hi EarlyriserX9
I noticed that you have a bimini tower from towerbimini.com. How do you like it?
I have a 2003 prostar 209 (just like your X9) and am looking for a bimini. I have a few questions.
    1) Did you upgrade to the stainless steel or did you get the standard aluminum?
    2) How much area does the bimini cover?
    3) When the bimini is folded, does it go over the speakers or does it mount right in front of the speakers?
    4) Any rattles? Or any flapping when driving?
    5) Is it a quick and easy set up?

I'm thinking about getting the solid black with the polished fittings but havent decided on the standard aluminum or upgrade to the stainless steel.

    Thanks for your help

    Frank

I got it from Barrios Upholstery (www.towerbiminis.com). They send you a diagram, give them some measurements and it's custom built to those dimensions. Was about $750, would have been $75-100less if I went with one solid color. Not cheap, but very good quality/fit.
Thanks for the compliment on my boat. If it was an open bow I wouldn't be selling it!
