A stiff constant wind combined with a steady sideways rain, picking up at times, nipped at the competitors like mosquitoes’ in the Amazon. Still, the women stepped up and battled not only each other, but the weather as well-
In the “Queen of the Course” finals on Sunday, Karen Truelove skied head-to-head against fellow MasterCraft Pro Athlete April Coble Eller. Both women skied like champs; however, it was Karen Truelove that won the run-off and was bestowed with the grand title of “Queen”.
Her majesty was delighted to receive the Queen’s crown and title. “This was such a well organized and rewarding event hosted by the local skiers,” said Karen. “They paid attention to every detail and the staff went the extra mile to make sure that we were all taken such good care of…it is refreshing to feel the spirit of waterskiing that is organized locally.” Karen stated further, “This was a great site and regardless of the weather, everyone was such a great trooper…I hope the momentum generated here inspires others to host events like this one.”
Congratulations to Karen and all of the MasterCraft athletes!
